ABOUT
Sophie Pischel is an independent communication and information designer based in Berlin.
Since 2020 she has been developing visual concepts and designs for print and digital media – ranging from branding and editorial design to spatial and participatory formats. Her practice follows a discrimination-sensitive approach to design, and she develops individual strategies for a wide range of clients, translating their content into distinct visual languages. Her focus is on how complex topics can be communicated in ways that are clear and accessible.
She has experience in cultural and social contexts as well as in interdisciplinary processes and has also worked in project management.
Alongside her independent practice, she regularly collaborates with designer Ira Göller in their joint practice »pigo«. Together they developed the visual campaign for the 50th anniversary of the Berlin University of the Arts.
She is also a co-founder of the design collective »Formate des Dialogs«, which engages with political questions related to the healthcare system.
